Welcome to the Fort Collins Museum & Discovery Science Center’s blog! This is the place to come to keep up-to-date with what’s happening — from progress on the new museum to day-to-day goings-on, news, events, programs, behind-the-scenes … if you know us already, this is a way to get to know us better. And if you’re new to us, then we hope you’ll enjoy making our acquaintance!

On May 30th, 2009, Discovery Science Center closed at our Prospect St. location and moved over to the Fort Collins Museum. On June 30th, 2009 we re-opened our hands-on science experiences at the Fort Collins Museum building, alongside the history and culture of northern Colorado. This is a big step toward our joint facility, an entirely new museum which is under construction and scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2012.

So, there are a lot of exciting things going on — some big changes — and we’re committed to continuing to provide the experiences we’re known and loved for. And then some. We think that there’s always more to explore — come explore with us.
